"I ENJOY MAKING INTERIOR DESIGN FUN."
The casual comfortable living style of the "California Look", that became popular in the 70s, drew Hunt from Salisbury, Connecticut to the San Francisco area in 1979. Here he attended college and fell in love with the beautiful surroundings of the Peninsula, where he has lived ever since.
After receiving degrees in both business and design, Hunt began his career in a retail furniture store as a member of their design team. There he learned the ins and outs of the interior design industry. However, this environment was a little too impersonal for his taste. It seemed, at times, that more emphasis was focused on a quick sale than to the personal satisfaction of his clients. What he most enjoyed was working with his clients, one on one, taking the time to listen to them and helping them discover their own likes and tastes and then the enjoyment of bringing their dreams to reality.
So in 1990 Hunt began his own design firm, Huntington House Interiors, where his business sense has always been in harmony with his sense of design.
In Hunt's ongoing efforts to find that perfect piece of furniture for his clients, he eventually found himself partnering with a local furniture builder and began designing his own custom made new and reproduction pieces. This has led to the development of Huntington House Interiors' growing line of furniture. This new venture adds a fresh dimension to the fun and creativity that draws clients to Huntington House Interiors.
"One of the greatest rewards in this business is when you can call a client your friend."
